It is about managing ideas.

As an artist, we are taught that in certain situations it’s polite to bend your inspiration and compromise. But this lack of candour becomes a problem with time when it seeps into your day to day culture.

It is all too common that in art, artists simply do not express themselves truthfully. We withhold fearing criticism or upsetting others that can cause conflict. Artist wants often to be "liked", not being jerks.

Art history proves that only honest and open communication will win the race in the end. Art is communication that allows everyone to contribute ideas and improves them. The artist ideas and honest opinions are voiced loudly in his or her art. They are possibilities and proposals that can and should be evaluated.

Art is an exchange even when the majority of the audience don't contribute their ideas or opinions. Most likely because they feel they can't. This is an immense waste of brainpower.

The introducing truthful expression in conflicts with ingrained “make nice” culture. This can be very difficult especially on social media. The fear of hurting your art career as a "troublemaker" can be real. But as an artist, you are the boss. Your duty to your talent is the devotion to ideas, it will be rewarded and will demonstrate to yourself your real power.

Discussion is a possibility to communicate with your audience and ask for their input. This can be a strong source for new inspiration. It is your duty to help them feel comfortable giving it.

It is Time to let ideas and opinions flow freely about your art. Time to encourage truth about your art and give everyone a voice.
